Why should we be concerned with current scientific thinking systemic failure?
We can give a simple answer: Simple economics ROI: return on investment.
Scientific research is mostly funded by public money and if there is a systemic failure on that system that implies that public money is being wasted.

Jeremy Thomas And that waste is worldwide, in any single scientific institution. Many of them are simply "milking the cow".
